The Combat Hospital of Or'Lur

Gul’Lal watched as his student Gelb from the Gang of Uf Mag’og worked with one of the karovian healers to help one patient of the never ending line of wounded. While he hated war he had to admit it helped get gogs learning to heal. It also sparked creative thinking, though all of it was put into weapons instead of how to actually help other gogs.

“Auf Gul’Lal, we are running low on food for everyone. What shall we do?” one of the vandals that he had brought with him asked.

“Use the Leyas to make caves. Once they are built we can farm and grow food until we have enough to feed them. Just make sure that the plants on the surface do not starve.”

“At once Auf.” She left to start building the caves with the others while Gul’Lal returned to helping more paitents.

Gul’Lal looked out into the lands of Karov. They had survived the Flame Winds, but barely.

“Auf There are some of our patients that we can not Heal. They seem to be Immutables. What shale we do with them?”

“Go to Unen there you will find Rhug’na’ru and ask them to send a healer who is immutable, who has the tools they use to raise the dead back to the living. If they can not then we will seek their tribes and give them the ceremony of their people.”

“Why not seek the Earthers,Auf?”

“Because we must be strong on our own.”

The warning from Glog was very clear and very disheartening.

“Auf what news is there for us?” asked one of the Karovians who Gul’Lal now worked with.

With a sad sigh he said"War has come to Der’al. Giants seek the Earthers and our own people fight the followers of Kolak."

This announcement caused those gathered to murmur at the implication.

“So far non of the other tribes has started to prepare for a full on war. We are going to be very busy soon. If your not seeing pationts I want you stocking supplys or crafting healing items. We are all that stands between our brothers and sisters and their final deaths. WE WILL NOT FAIL, AM I CLEAR?”

“YES AUF.” came the impassioned reply.

An influx of materials from the UtR War Veterans Fund has provided a full permanent building with two floors and rooms for two hundred patients. Officially the Combat Hospital of Or’Lur was a donation for the good of the Karovian peoples.

To some it was viewed as further signs of Tla’loc’alan invasion of the Karovian wilderness. But to most it was a humanitarian effort of unprecedented proportions. Auf GuL’Lal was shocked when twenty doctors and thirty nurses, all former EEF medics of varying ages from the Colonies, came down and offered to volunteer as part of some program called Doctors without Borders.

What had been but a few bloodied tents was now a full hospital servicing soldiers from across the Goblin Lands. It even had been donated a trio of Lur Union Air Skimmers to act as medical transports. The hospital had been working with gusto through the Yyan attack, and was lucky south enough to be far from their attentions.
