The Animal Pens of the Lur Union

#1

When Tor’ol returned excitedly to the Ol’Lur’s tribal caves in Tla’lac’al after successfully pacifying a number of mighty Yadols, he informed “The Auf” of his adventure and was prepared to beg him to allow the construction of an area for domesticating the large creatures. However, Tor’ol’s dignity remained intact as begging was not necessary. “The Auf” not only agreed, but strongly encouraged the younger Auf’s enthusiasm to train these great beasts. Tor’ol thanked his Chieftain profusely and immediately set to work.

While drawing up plans for a place to keep the Yadols, he thought that he might as well train On’tors as well.
Tor’ol eventually came up with using one of the many stone caverns of the Ol’Lur’s cave system as a holding area for the Yadols; stone floors so that they could not burrow out of it.

Tor’ol would let the creatures outside everyday, to burrow and find food until a ready supply was available (assuming they don’t want to hunt for it). He would talk to them and convince them that in Tla’loc’al, they would be provided with safety and shelter, as long as they returned every day.
Over time, Tor’ol would try and train them to allow a rider, or attack certain markings on the walls.

Also, Tor’ol would oversee the installation of a cave in the upper part of the mountain that would be made a comfortable spot for ontors to stay. Tor’ol knew of the mutual relationship between some ontors and other gogs in Tla’loc’al. That an ontor stays by choice. They are not slaves, or mindless beasts, and are to be treated with respect. All of the other tribes of the Lur Union would be informed of this, so any bad relations would be avoided.
The Ol’Lur would do their best to make the ontors feel welcome and comfortable; bringing them food that they (hopefully) liked, conversing with them regularly, and anything else they required.

(OOC: I’d like confirmation that I did this correctly, or if I left anything out.)

–(Sorry for delayed confirmation. Everything is perfect. OOC The Lur Union may now call upon 2 additional trained Mighty Yadols for any mission where two or more Lur Union members are working together. Ol’Lur personally gains one additional Mighty yadol to call upon for any mission they are a part of.
The Lur Union may call upon a two wings of Ontor (8 total) to act as mounts for air cavalry for any mission where two or more Lur Union Members are working together. Ol’Lur may call upon one wing (4 total) to act as air cavalry for their own tribe) Each week of training will allow the Lur Union to deploy an additional 1 to the maximum of 8 mighty yadols. Each week of training will allow the Lur Union to deploy an additional 1 Wing of Ontor=4 ontor, to a maximum of 10 wings, 40 ontor.) –

The young Olgogs came from far and wide to see the tame Ontor fly near the caves. Many made friendly wagers on the Yadols as they wrestled in the sandy pits nearby. Many begged for an opportunity to train alongside these animal members of the tribes.

(OCC I gather this is not useable in week 7? (aka the POW rescue mission?)

#4

Over the weeks, Tor’ol continued to train the yadols and ontors, and also instructed many of the youths of Ol’Lur in their care, in case something were to happen to him, and so he was able to benefit his people in other ways. Also, he carefully selected a few individuals (praying the gods would guide his choice) to also learn to care for the creatures.

(OOC: Tor’ol is continuing to train for week 7 and is demonstrating to 5 Ur Tor from Ol’Lur and 5 people from the outside, how he cares for the creatures.)

#5

The Ur Tors had learned much in the presence of The Auf. So impressed were they by his compassion and caring that they followed his example. Living as he did and spending day and night caring for the Yadols taught the Ur Tors much about themselves. What had been juveniles focused on their own fame a week before were now sincere and deep in their observations. These five Ur Tors no longer were focused on thoughts of death and glory but on the comfort of their fellow creatures.

These five Ur Tor had become something new and different than their fellows.

And The Auf was proud.

–{five Ur Tor of Ol Lur gain the Auf in Training special training ( however they may not activate this ability until they meet all Leyas prerequisites). They gain will 6, and their riding now increases to skill 5. They also gain animal lore lvl 3 to represent the profound change in their character.

#6

They are usuable in week 8 missions as Yadol Riders of Ol Lur}—

#7

As of week 8 the Lur Union gains +2 mighty yadols and +2 wings of Ontor have been domesticated. (+8 ontor total in 2 packs of 4 ontor each)

Wings of Onto must be deployed in groups and multiples of four.

#8

Twenty four hours after the first orbital laser attack, another one struck Tla’loc’alan holdings. Anyone not hidden in deep caves were incinerated from above. The deathtoll in Tla’loc’al is currently believed to be in the thousands.

This site has also been hit but being caverns was protected from most of the attack. The fear and trauma will take time to pass.

–[Between the first and second orbital laser attack, the Lur Union has Lost one Mighty Yadol destroyed by Laser fire and one wing (4) Ontor who were incinerated out of the sky.]–

#9

Tor’ol worked with his students to secure the caverns with the Leyas, making sure that their structure is maintained or fortified, and making repairs where needed. Meanwhile, the five Yadol Riders did what they could to calm the creatures, stabilizing any wounds until the Aufgog returned to heal them with the leyas.

#10

The Yadol caverns stretched many miles underground. The proximity of so many trained yadols together has also had a fortuitous benefit. The Ol’Lur tribe gains 30 brezan stalkers who may be used as trade goods. These immature yadols are the perfect riding steed in the desert.
In addition over the year the stable has burgeoned with +20 Mighty Yadols, and +120 additional Ontor split into thirty wings. There were now more animals than there were riders. Luckily the underground farms of the Lur Union were keeping everyone fed.
Tor’ol looked upon the content animals and it was good. But he wondered, would these animals be content on their daily “walks”, or would he have to find riders for them all?
