Seeking Gultor'uf

#1

Urog sent Vektor two days time after the meeting at Yyanyi’s tent to Karo to escort the teachers that Gultor’uf promised. Vektor approached Karov, enquiring as to the wherabouts of Gultor’uf. “I am Vektor of Brez, a proud member of the Gang of the Uf Mag’og. I seek Chieftain Gultor’uf.”

OOC: I am working about 60 hours a week, which is why i haven’t been on .

An elder of the tribe comes up, as there is screaming in the background. The elder notices the insignia and the stature of the gog, and it kindles some memory but he can’t quite place it.

Greetings traveler, Our leader is . . . otherwise occupied , I am an elder of this tribe can I help you with anything?

Vektor responds, “Some time ago, in the peace tent of Mag Auf Yyanyi, your leader promised to assist the Gang of the Uf Mag’og in learning the cultured ways of Karov.” Vektor paused, and then began again in a different tone of voice to indicate he was quoting terms, “How to make the desert bloom and knowledge of then how to collect water from those blooms. What seeds to collect, what seeds to plant for each season that will survive without cultivation. Ways to collect water from the morning dew, and what plants to grow that will collect water and store it.” Vektor continued, in his normal voice, “three and their teacher were promised to us, to teach us your ways. We are here to collect on that promise. While no request for trade was made, in return for these four, we offer proper trade, either in goods or in reciprocal knowledge. Name your terms, and let all know that not all Brezans are Goblin Trash that steal and take from others.”

Ah YES, Bill sent word to us by our fastest runner. Unfortunately, on the way he found an oasis that primary plant was ones that makes you feel colours and see songs. He is particularly fond of this plant, and consumed almost all of it at the oasis. When our search party found him, all we could get from him was “Teach gangs everyonething”. Bill only has been back momentary to deal with our leader and deal with our kidnapped tribe members. This does sound like something Bill would do, and he probably just would do it to try and get this “Olgog nation of tribes” working. He probably doesn’t even care if we get anything in return.

Wait here and I will go ask our elder teacher on what he thinks should happen.

The olgog wanders off for about 90 minuets, as the scream continue punctuated ever so often by a scream of another

a slightly greying olgog strolls to Vektor, and states I am Elder Teacher, and you may refer to me as such. This tribe was gathered by Rapi Og because of his brute strength, modeled after what he remembers from his time in Brez. He is the one screaming because our Uhryu came back, challenged him to rappittor and crushed our leader with ease. Someone trained by the AUFGOGs did this to him. We know he isn’t as strong as our leader, or many of our tribal elders, but he has never lost in rappittor. This is having a profound affect on our younger tribe members, as they are starting to think this Uhryu’s peace way is the only way to be strong. If you could send some of your better warriors to show the younglings what strength is and how to fight, I know RapiOg would consider this a fair trade.

On the number of people sent, There is some unfortunate news there. one of my students has been kidnapped, and another was being sent out on another mission. That leaves myself and my oldest pupil to go with you. I will leave word for the others to come find us when the arrived back, and we would need two days to gather the necessary materials to be able to train a large group of you.

Vektor remembered the conversation he had with Tusk. She explained to Urog and Vektor how the Karovan trained. He raised an eyebrow at the Karovan before him, and smiled, “We’re strong, but not that much stronger than you. I also know that our training is not better than yours, and we have no special techniques that your Mag’Ols do not have. We have nothing to offer you for training.” His smile turned wider, despite offering what sounded like bad news, “But, we do have a secret. And I will share it with you.”

Vektor pulled out from his travel pack a little wooden box, filled with a white powdery substance. “It’s called Shinefox. Brezan alchemy, you see.” He takes a small amount on his finger. “You snort a little bit of this powder, and if makes you stronger. Much stronger. It also lets you harness your temper.” He puts the powder back in the box. “The downside is that your body isn’t as resistant to damage as it normally is. One punch less to the jaw, if you know what I mean. But it takes two fewer punches to knock down your opponent.” Vektor emphasizes the point with a mock punch. “We trade many of our potions, powders, and herbs. We don’t give this to anyone. As a show of friendship, however, we will trade it with you. This box has about 20 doses. It’ll do you better than any training we can give you. Your two gog come to us in exchange for this box of powder. How’s that sound?” Vektor held out the box to the Elder, hoping that it would be accepted, knowing deep down inside that he had nothing else to offer.

Elder teacher take the substance, and looks at it. This causes bravery? This must be very valuable indeed. I will store it with the quartermaster, and then start preparing for the trip.

*OOC: Elder teacher and student will leave, once the tribe members from the slyven ? ship that I committed to, one of them will head out to meet up, and if the rescue is successful, the other will meet up *

Vektor knew the powder gave strength, not bravery… but to most gog, what’s the difference?

“We’ll await your presence in Brez.” Vektor then turns around and makes his way back to Brez.
