Goblin Lands 2 Heroic Mission Week 19: The Ground Shook

#1

The Rehsedian Tribes to the Northeast have come under full assault by Yyan Empire Wild Giants armed with Unit 111-made relic weapons. The Rehsedians have been driven back from Camp Iron in the south of their territory and are making a heroic stand to protect the Rehsedian Capital.
This semi-subterranean fortress maze can only be entered from one large entrance way known as Desher’s Gate. Artificed and warded by the ancients, it was said to be impregnable. It had but one weakness. The mountain top above it could be collapsed downward over the doorway, sealing the door from the outside, and the Olgogs inside would be in for a slow death of starvation.

Mainly a nomadic tribe the Rehsedians consider this their homeland. They kept this site due to its heritage, and the promise given by the ancients that no one would ever conquer it from the outside.
So far none had.

The Yyan Empire vanguard was made up of one hundred strong Wild Giants. Each armed with magi cannons, and Grey carapace armor. The giants were of the living, and strong enough to hurl a tree truck through the side of a Mak Hoblock before hurling the dead Mak Hoblock like a catapult stone at the defenders at the Desher Gate.

The Rehsedians have sent out a desperate call for help.

Any Merc or Sellsword willing to come and keep the mountain clear of giants will have a weaponized gauntlet of finest metal scales known as a ReshedRapi crafted for their specifications. The reshedrapi was razorsharp, and designed to be used with two handed weapons and polearms. Since the Rehsedian Capital is the only place on the planet Refuge that retains the knowledge of the reshedrapi, this is an exclusive reward to this mission.

Mission Rules
First player to post gets a repost when all other players have finished posting to the mission in response to all other actions.
All other players may only make 1 posting.
Other players may only act as if they have seen the action of the first player who posts.
All other actions are compressed together by the DR team with a focus on storyline, so do not worry about paradoxes between different action posts.
Not every aspect of every action will be shown. This is especially true of actions that exceed two paragraphs.

Mission Notes:
The Yyan Empire Wild Giants will be attacking the mountain side as Skirmishers in groups of two and three.
If vehicles, Giant Monsters or Magi Cannon fire is seen on the side of the defenders, Giants will be sent in five at a time to counter the threats.
The Giants are not preparing for a siege and don’t have supplies or supply lines.
The Giants are dosed with some form of combat drug rendering sleep unnecessary for them during the course of the battle.
While most of the 100 Giants are engaged with the Rehsedian Chariot army, squads are being sent out to topple the mountain.
No one is allowed inside the Rehsedian Capital during this mission. Anyone who attempts it will find an unpleasant surprise in the mission post.

Raider Captain Kulal slid through the rocky shadows. His monstrous form was horrible and easily dwarfed most olgogs, however now he felt small seeing the giants firsthand. He was ready though. He fought giants before and he knew he could take down the pair moving through the mountains. He would jump from the shadows and latch onto one attempting to drain it of its blood. He would shadowwalk if the giant tried to crush him on the ground or against the scree.

Once in the shadows he would be relentless slowly draining them of their life force, striking and darting out of reach like a good kolgul. Once they had fallen and risen again as his thralls he would have them show him how to work the magicannon, and feed it. The hungry new giants would require giant sized meals, Kulal would help them find another patrol and let them feast on them. And continue to grow the force until the Yvan ceased their attacks.

He would then present himself to the Rehsed (His giant army would be as far from the Rehsed tribes as possible, no need to scare them. He would make sure to show up during the day time (Thank you shadow armor) in olgog form to accept his reward, he maybe able to play himself off as Bruskti instead of a true vampire. While he wouldn’t turn down the reward (Assuming the plan worked) he would also ask the Rehsed make contact with Bo’gan and the armies of Eloga to talk about an alliance or at the very least a nonaggression pact.

Burke never liked Giants, ever since a Giant tried to touch him in that alley (Honestly who thinks making a Giant a clown is a good idea?) So when he heard about Giants attacking a tribe of Olgogs, he wouldn’t let this go without saying something about it…well less saying and more shooting.

Burke would find a nice hill overlooking the main action (or at least some the patrols) and set up his laser sniper rifle. He didn’t like direct combat, so he would cover himself with either dirt of plant life (whichever was more abundant in the area) He would watch carefully for anyone else engaging patrols and if they looked like they needed help he would start sniping the legs of the Giants they were attacking. When a patrol was eliminated he would move up to do the same to the next one. Finally reaching the main battle group Burke was amazed at how many Giants there were.

Even more determined he would aid anyone attacking the Giants by either sniping their legs to throw them off balance or try to get an eye shot to blind them. If his position was compromised Burke would start to roll and retreat to a more secure location and then resume his attack.

After the Giants were driven off he would walk down to claim his reward. Might be worth something good.

Yalar Took was not normally one to partake in battles, she was however interested in exploring a new region full of unique and useful herbs to expand upon her own skills as well as helping to defend the rehsedian tribes. She was going to use her herbalism skill and geographic position to her advantage, and for added safety was given an Olgogolem armor pendant.

She would use her growing skills in earth and shadow leyas to avoid the wild giants and make it safely to a high point on the mountainside. Once the position is secured, casting CANTRIP + SEEING of a floating Olgog head caricature of herself to get message to any of the Rehsedians in the fortress and announce her presence and her attempt to defend. She will then plan for battle, using SUMMON ARMORFIENDS as an acting cavalry. She will leave the armorfiend in position to survey the area, and making her way down the mountainside to search of herbs, but mostly luring out a group of wild giants. Once found, she will golem up using THROW GLOP to the wild giants hands disabling the magi cannons and WILDERNESS CAMO to run up the mountainside, forcing them to give chase to her. She will make her way to safety, just past the armorfiend who will now take point. The armorfiend will use MUD WAVE towards the wild giants in pursuit (specifically not in the direction of Desher’s Gate, Yalar Took wouldn’t want to be responsible for sealing the subterranean fortress) trying to immobilize them, followed by the BUM RUSH attack down the mountainside. After being subdued, YalarTook will see to it that the wild giants are bound using GROW VINES and then hide the bodies using TUNNEL MATERIAL to make solitary coffins of ground (think the movie Buried), having the armorfiend do the heavy lifting. Yalar will make note of where the bodies are hidden, so that giants can later be dealt with properly (judgment, redemption or other uses) after battle has ended. After the first group is taken, she will release the armorfiend, recollect herself from the high vantage point, to begin the process again each time with a new armorfiend.

Krodnok looked down on the giants as he circled in the air. His cloaking device was active, so he was invisible to the naked eye. He also activated a pair of abilities that Yyan Kol had artificed onto the devices’ belt, making him invisible to the Leyas, and better protected physically.

He looked down once more on the giants, and for a few moments, watched what they were doing. Magi Cannons, he thought. And alot more heavy-duty than my own. He considered his own physical defenses as he flew. I may not be protected enough, he thought, and he began shaping Leyas around himself for added protection.

Once he was conent, he decided it was time to come up with a battle plan. And the plan was simple. The giants were focused on the Reshedians, and their mountain. Pretty easy to get one of the giants furthest away from the mountian. He would kill a few giants (aiming to get four), and instil Nightmares in them. Then, order them to kill other giants. If one of his Nightmare-giants was destroyed, he’d kill and instill another giant. Meanwhile, he’d continue to kill giants himself, sniping from the air with his own Magi Cannon, landing only to instill Nightmares, invisible the whole time.Once the job was done, he’d collect his reward, and he would return to Simonsburg, and any giants he still controlled would return to the lab.

He looked down to the ground, and after a moment, he found what he was looking for. Lurtor was in position. Krodnok looked back to the giants, and smiled a smile that noone else could see. Time to go to work, he thought.

Leyas rating - 6
Shadow - 4

Leyas abiliies activated before combat starts :
Skin-like steel - Artifact (8 successes)
Obscure - Artifact (7 successes)
Shadow working (Add +20 Energy AR) - Cast himself

With his Magi-cannon, Krodnok has 4 attacks per round. The cannon is scoped.

Smith looked around at the concerned faces, it seemed odd that with all flood of gogs into this area that everyone would pick up that his homeland was under assault. As he looked around, he saw how this tribe truly cared about anyone that came to this tribe. After all, he immigrated from his homeland and was immediately accepted. His skills at making weapons and armourments went by the wayside, and he was tasked with helping the people with what they needed. Hookups for harnasss, and other sundry items were what he made. Asserting it may be prudent to build defenses and weapons, Smith was told “He who seeks war, finds himself only with enemies”.

When smith first heard about the attacks on his tribes, he didn’t know what to do. He was the blacksmith, and didn’t participate in war. When the gogs around him started speaking about how they were going to help, he decided he must act on his own. There were to many things these gogs have to deal with, the influx of new gogs, the raiding of the limited supplies, and this new sickness that is infecting others. Their works here are more important that going to a foreign land and defending others, they are more needed here.

In the week he prepped to come, he build himself some armour. “Your skin should not go unprotected”. He now needed to protect himself the gogs to him, he is the one most capable of doing so. While others were limiting themselves to feed others, he was given full meals. “Never go into battle hunger weak”. When the time came to leave, he was given an ontor to ride, and three days worth of food. “Preparations leads to success”.

As he looked around at these gogs he has been with for just one cycle, he wondered if he would see them again. He was a Blacksmith, not a fighter. But when someone attacks your home, you pick up what you can, and go defend it. And with that, Smith picked up his blacksmithing hammer and rode off towards his homeland to join in the defenses.

OOC: He would join the reshedians, as he is from that tribe. Probably end up scouting for them as he is riding an ontor. But as he is basically an untrained militia, would follow instructions of whoever is in charge.

Sanches Giantsbane enjoyed killing Giants. Ever since he killed those giants a few months back, seeing something so big go down gave him a thrill. So when he heard from Grimaldus that Giants had been seen attacking the Rehsed land he mobilized quickly. He really didn’t care about the Goblins, he just wanted to kill some Giants. If the Goblins wanted to give him a reward for doing what he loved, well, he wouldn’t stop them.

The problem was that they were big and he was a lot smaller, plus he didn’t have back up this time, well not the same kind of back up.

When arriving Sanches would spend the daylight hours observing the patrol routes of the Giants, he would use a Facade (Light Leyas) to hide himself while he scouted. Then at night he would put on his thermal goggles (quest reward) and sneak around planting mines on the patrol routes. While the Giants didn’t sleep their vision wouldn’t be as good at night. If any spotted him he would blind them with Light leyas and use a Facade to distract them as he withdrew to a safe distance. Then after a patrol got hit by the mines he would use his RPG launcher (he calls her Maria) to finish off the group. Others would probably investigate what happened. When they did he would paint the leader of the group with his laser designator (mission reward) who would then get torn apart by the Hovercopter gatlin strike (hover copter races through and fires gatlins at one target. Cannot be destroyed or countered (except by city effect weapons, huge leyas storms, or annihilation) Does 50 Missile dmg, No A.R. To Giants and Wargiants, Lowers V.A.R. By 50 pts (City Effect +15 dodge t#)
When the leader of the group dies and the Giants are distracted by the aerial attack he would fire off his remaining RPGs to finish off the group. Then he would hide and observe what happens. If the Giants are defeated he would go down and collect his reward.

If they weren’t defeated he would continue to observe and report back his findings.

Lurtor ((VLAD Agent) LR:4, Heal:1, Light: 3, Shadow:3, Air:3, Earth:3, Water:2, General:2, Shape:3, Troub:4) Adj: (Charisma (+4 Item), Duelist, Performance 2)

Krodnock had just flown off to get into position for their attack on these wild giants. There plan was simple, but since the enemy had big weapons, Lurtor was going to try out the Armor of Auf Lal’al. This had all of the Reflexes, sences, movement and healing he would need. Combined with his weapons, he was ready for battle.

Also on the way up, Krodnock started going over how to use two pistols at the same time. He thought he was getting the hang of it. Now to try it out.(OOC Lurtor will have Gunslinger By the end of this).

Before the fighting begins, Lurtor activates all of the Shapeshifting leyas abilities of his armor and the life shield from his ring. His muscles flexed feeling stronger. This armor might be fun.

Lurtor would help Krodnock take down the first set of Giants, Striking from Behind with a the skull Crusher and Soldier Pistols (Chill Setting). When shooting the pistols, he’ll try to keep his fire hidden from the main group. Fortunately, the Giants are pretty big and block the line of sight. Also Lutor has wave motion gloves to strike the giants at a range or make noise on the other side of the area from where he is hiding.

After taking down the group, and once Krodnock is done instilling the nightmares, Lurtor would sustain Magi Reflect Leyas, using the giants as cover. Now he would try to keep the giants going as long as possible while staying out of the direct fire. Lurtor would take shots at the enemy giants.

Lurtor had two backup plans, but as they are much more powerful, they might bring more enemies. So this is backup.

[ul]
[li]the summon elementals and Chimera as a backup plan to add distractions and other targets if needed.[/li][li]Troubadour - Song of Frost or Storms.[/li][/ul]

If Lurtor had to move around, he would use the Insect leap from the boots, and/or Shadow jump.

The giants’ assault on the Rehsedians seemed to Lord Mada like an excellent opportunity as a show of force. He rode in menacingly upon his I’tashi War Dragon to the Reshedian capital. Mada knew that the Yyan giants were dangerous, but this battle would be too exciting to pass up. He’d never fed on the fear of a giant before, and looked forward to the opportunity. While confident that he himself was undefeatable, Mada wasn’t so sure about his minions. Deciding to play it safe, he cast Chill Shield on it. Lord Mada would approach from the opposite side of the mountain, hoping to attack from behind. The dragon would swoop down and attempt to cleave heads from shoulders with its teeth and claws, then fly back up into the sky. As he passed by the second time, Lord Mada would open his shadow cocoon, unleashing his Falsewyrm and air dropping five of his penguins into the fray.

Mada would stay on top of his dragon for another few strafing runs before leaping from his mount and entering the battle himself. Setting his Magi Pistol to Chill, he would blast the nearest giant in the knees and sever its spinal cord with his Uth blade, relishing the pain and fear felt by his victim. He would spend the rest of the battle taking every chance to blow away a weakened giant and feed off of its last moments on Refuge.

The War Dragon will continue to strafe the giants (and avoiding their projectiles) using its teeth/claws, or its mounted Magi Cannons, targeting giants with magi cannons. If the giants successfully collapse parts of the mountain, Lord Mada will order it to divert the falling rocks away from the capital. Mada will protect the capitol from any other debris using his absurdly large shadow cocoon. If the dragon gets too badly injured it will retreat to Bartsport.

The Falsewyrm will also be strafing the giants with its chill breath, but will not back off when injured. If possible, it will stay out of melee range and will take magi cannon hits in order to protect the dragon.

The five air dropped penguins will keep a relatively wide formation so that no more than one of them will be hit with a single attack. Keeping their formation, they will concentrate their Magi Cannon fire together on a single giant at a time (the closest one).

Mada’s sixth penguin (unarmed and out of armor) will attempt to infiltrate the capitol. WHEN it dies, its respawned self will retrieve its arms and join the other penguins in gunning down giants. (OOC: I don’t have high hopes for this poor penguin. I just wanna see what happens.)

Ethan soared through the air above the fortress-mountain. The sounds of battle could be heard, even from the height he was at. He may not have known too much about the enemy from face value, but giants were rarely a nice sign during any sort of siege. Nevertheless, that’s all that seemed to be assaulting the fortress at the moment, throwing rocks and logs at the large doors, even engaging in combat at the gates. They were holding, that much he could see, but they had sent out a call for help so they were apparently desperate. Or just cautious. He didn’t know, but he pulled out his Anti-vehicle Laser and cocked it, listening to it whir to life. However slightly the sound it made, he always liked it.

He would stick to the air, firing his A.V.L. (Artificed, 20 (1/2 AR) energy damage) into the invading army, to see what sort of damage that would do. He would continue to do that if it had any sort of advantageous effect, like killing them, but if it did not he would fly to a distance where the giants would be unlikely to go and hide it to retrieve later. He would do that anyway if the invading force was losing. It would only serve as a hindrance if he kept it on him. He would then draw his Goliath Slayer Sword (10 (1/2 AR) melee dmg, No AR dmg to Wargiants) and engage them once again, going after the smaller groups headed to cave-in the city. He would use a combination of the sword, flying and his Shock Gauntlets (5 melee dmg & 1d8+1 (No AR) pain dmg) to disable and kill the giants. If he found himself at a very distinct disadvantage he would take off get to a safe position.
He fixed the goggles on his face, swearing at the giants for their immunity to the acid weapons he was good with.

(Special training: Melee strike +2, Ranged shot +1, Anti-vehicle training)

Rogarth kept his Daemonsbane form at bay, the Cleansed Hammer of Protodoxa offsetting his inner nature. He watched the Giants as they swayed over the treeline. Their cannons aimed towards the mountain.

They wanted a cave in? Let them get a cave in. He pressed a hand to the ground focusing earth leyas with enough force to create walls of iron. They grew up around the entrance in a defensive ring. Even if the mountain side fell, the Rehsedians would have a chance to save themselves.

Now the Giants would have to get up close.

Rogarth hid himself, using the Leyas to camouflage himself while he waited for the storm, and Khered’s plan.

Then he would focus on knee capping Giants with the Hammer of Protodoxa. When they fell he would hit them in the head. If they kept up he would shatter their feet prepping them for Khered’s dive attack. He would use shadow walk and pass trees to escape attacks.

Rogarth would always sustain Meld with weapon to keep the hammer from falling from his grip.

Flora decided for the first time she hated being the best shot in the Outcasts. Sure she liked the bragging rights but it came with responsibilities some times. Like now as she found herself sent alone to the middle of nowhere to take pot shots at giants. She futilely tried to brush the dirt and dust out of her fur for what felt like the thousandth time in an hour. She felt the ground shake and hunkered deeper into her hiding spot. She just hoped they ran out of giants before she ran out of bullets.

Flora armed with her sniper rifle will remain in hiding and move as needed to avoid contact with giants. She will not directly engage any giants rather she will attempt disabling attacks against them. She will concentrate on knees, elbows and eyes.

Khered frowned, Warmonger’s Dead Giants, at least they weren’t undead. That would make slaughtering them a bit easier. He began his plan, he was the living bait, that was fine with him as long as the job got done. These Giants were unlikely to hit him. He would fly and hurl fireballs down upon the giants, not really to kill them but more to get their attention and lure them into the trap. He would bring them to Daemonsbane who would cripple them. Once that was done Khered would dive down and impale them with his spear. He would then repeat the task with the next group. He would support any Olgogs that he sees, and try to keep them alive. Saving the Rehsed is a high priority, but protecting his allies is greater.

Forge had traveled a long way just to slug a bastard in the face. Not that Scout didn’t have it coming after ditching him up north like that. Part of him had been happy to finally have a good excuse to leave. It was so boring up there. He hadn’t even had a decent brawl in months. He had told them he’d return with Scout and he probably would sooner or later. Of course he had to find him first.

He stepped to the top of a ridge and tried to get the lay of the land. As he gazed about he heard a sudden rumble and felt the ground shift. Suddenly below him a group of olgogs broke from the tree line into the clear a moment later giants burst out of the same woods. The olgogs turned to fight. As Forge watched the battle his hands drifted to the hafts of his axes. He was very tempted to get involved but decided against it. He had his own business to take care of and really he didn’t know who’s side was in the right. He turned to leave. A giant not doing anything else leveled a magi cannon at him and fired. The beam missed by a few feet but it told him all he needed to know about sides. He pulled his axes and leapt off the ridge aiming at the giant who fired at him. A huge grin split his face as he plummeted toward the confused giant.

Forge will engage any giant or group of giants he sees attacking the largest one first. He will use the classic kiou tactics of attacking the hamstrings and ankle tendons then following up with attacks to the head and neck once they’d fallen down. Forge will also use this blood dance abilities liberally. He will support an olgogs or their allies that he encounters.

Zlattan, the Singer of Songs, was ready for this. He knew he had an important job: slow down the flow of Yyan, damage them as they neared the mountain, and set them up for Rogarth and Khered. To do this, he would first use ongagab cream, which is good for singing song (+3 Troubador). He would then hide in a shadows (artifact) and direct his storms (alternating between Song of Storms and Song of Frost). He would direct his storms on the opposite side of Khered, preventing him from being blasted from the sky. When possible, he would ensure it was being directed at places where close hand to hand combat was not taking place, forcing the Yyan to move and change location, weakening them for the kill. If at all possible, he’d also use War Song to help his allies (anyone fighting the Yyan).

If his allies fall, he would use Song Mancer to resurrect them.

If the Yyan got too close, he’d hide, wait for opportunity, move to a new vantage point, and continue his attacks. If he was being followed, with no allies in close proximity, Song of Tragedy, and find another place to hide. If needed, he also had a trinket of summon hydra and an ornament of summon lesser growling (the first to distract, the second to help him hide via shadowwalk or pass through trees).

When possible, make his way back to Rogarth/the mountain if he got too separated from the group, or any other obvious ally (no grey furs, red furs, or Church of One). Otherwise, keep going until the Yyan retreated or they lay dead.

Stats:
Zlattan- Conscious, LR4, water 2, troub 4, SS 1
Wearing Nightmare Hide Armor, summon hydra trinket (3), Summon lesser growling bone ornament (3), Deryalor of the Wanderers: SEE TRACKS, SEEING, TRANSLATE and OBSCURE (3); HIDE IN SHADOWS, CONSUME FEAR and SLIGHT OF HAND (2), HobTor bone axe.

Ollurug was small, and against Giants, that was a good thing. Harder to hit, harder to see.

Ollurug knew it was his job to protect the team from flying objects. Levitate was a wonderful thing. Just focus on the object being thrown, catch it with air, and drop it. If opportunity was ripe, back on the thrower. Otherwise, out of the way. If nothing was being thrown, then use a moment of distraction to aim their weapons at each other. Otherwise, liberal use of blinding lights.

His main priorities were to keep Zlattan alive, then protect Khered from flying objects. Provide healing when needed. If needed, he always had the tactic of using his crossbow brace to create trip lines between trees, allowing khered to do a dive bomb attack.

Gor’mag’s mind was filled with destruction. Fires that had not yet come to be flamed deep in the pits of his eyes. He had created something powerful, something that only he could do. But he was no fool, he was not proud like Ka’mag, venerable like Kolgol, or bound by morals as Eru’Khaz was. He wanted to test his new found power, and in doing so still be heroic, to return to his tribe and show them what he had done and for them to cheer and praise his name, as once Ka’mag’s was. He had to be careful though, he didn’t truly understand the bounds of his ability yet. What better way to test it than on an army of dumb giants?

And so he traveled to the distant mountain, that place of myth and legend which now had been besieged by the Yyans. He walked alone, his bone and leather plate softly clattering as the massive capitol came into view. He re-adjusted his bone spike helmet, looking about for places to hide. He had to remain hidden, as he wasn’t sure how well he could control the being when he was distracted by marauding giants. Once he had found a place, an overlook with some cover, or at least someplace he could be decently hidden that still had a good view of Desher’s gate, he would set his plan into motion.

He’d use Wilderness camo to ensure he wasn’t seen by any sneaky types, and if a giant did manage to sneak up on him, well, he’d be very surprised anyway. Then once a patrol came into view, he would focus and use his full concentration to summon The Gordargor of Kalok. He will then fully unleash the being on the field, burning and destroying as much as possible. The giants were the main goal of course, but he had to pull more fire to heal the Gordargor’s injuries, so he was sure a few burning copses of trees would fit the bill.

He will continue to wreak havoc on the giants and environment alike, as more and more giants arrive to see why there is a massive flaming monster flying around, and more patrols come to investigate. By using this domino effect, he will continue to increase the being’s power so that as many enemies as possible will die, and the Yyan empire would not have their victory.

Of course, he knew there were a great many people who wouldn’t appreciate his zealous fury, so he would lay low afterwards. If apprehended and asked about the being, well, he was just a simple Ur’Tor, there was no way he could create something like that. He had just come to see if he could help treat the wounded of course, and he was low on medical supplies so he was returning home.

If he wasn’t caught, or put under suspicion, he would first go to the gates to see his handiwork in person, professing that he had just arrived to see if there was anything Ka’Rhug could do for the Reshedians.

((Note, Gor’mag is a standard Ur’Tor, the only changes being bone and leather black legion armor + bone spike helmet, an earring of wilderness camo, and the ability gained in Week 18 - Circus of the Enemy))

As Or’Lur has worked withe the Rehsed tribe be for they thought it best to deal with the Giants as a mutual threat. A force of 20 fighters were sent out to attack the Giants in melee combat, to show the Rehsed that they did not fear such… tall… threats. Of course they were not stupid, leaving fingers for their Aufgogs should they fall.

  • Combat forces*

10 Ur Rhug each with 2 Frost Storm Rings
5 Ur Kug and 5 Vandles each with 2 Lightning Strike Rings.

Plan
Hit the Giants joints with the rings ( Hand to Hand) while dodging. The Ur Kug and Vandles will also use Water Leyas to try to make them fall while the Ur Rhugs fire Vampire Bolts at the downed Giants.

OtO removed his power armour, while suited for the desert, it failed on the mountianside. besides, he was as strong as a giant, if not stronger and his agility would be needed more than strength here. His goal was to gain information about Delur the nomad, and if he wasn’t here, to gather information or leverage about him.
