The Kefeda was a group of Quall Queens, four in number, who decided they would try any solution available to them to free their reality from the Warmonger. Three of the four queens died before they could achieve their goal. One was killed alongside the Progenitor Queen during the formative years of the Earther colonies on Refuge. Two more were slain by their fellow Quall Queens and sent to the Temple of the Rogue Queens for the rest of eternity. The last living Queen of the Kefeda fled from the Land of the Quall N’drone.
For ten thousand years she wandered space and time, learning all she could of the Leyas, of other species, and of her own race, the Quall. After all this time, the last queen of the Kefeda, discovered a time traveler, a hateful man who went by the name of Mortis Leonin.
She watched his evil, watched his lack of compassion. She grew angry, and as she did so, so did her children. All the Quall who served the last Kefeda Queen began to hunt the Mortis Leonin.
The Queen and her children nearly captured Mortis Leonin multiple times, but he always escaped them. The Kefeda became a cult, illegal and immoral in Quall culture. They were driven from dimension to dimension until finally they settled on a distant asteroid wandering the dark corners of our own dimension. Always in hiding, always steps behind Leonin.
Then the Kefeda discovered there was a planet, a penal colony called Refuge, where the Mortis Leonin had grown up. And the Queen distraught over the deaths of so many of her children, the loss of their realm in the land of the Quall N’drone, and overwhelmed by her continued failures, decided she would take her battle to the child Leonin.
It is sad because it was a fundamental misunderstanding of Time Shredding, because unlike time travel, Time Shredding removed an individual from the time line. Even killing them as a child wouldn’t stop the adult version who had already used a Time Shredder, and so the Kefeda Queen had many of her children sacrifice themselves to power her own attempt at time travel.
She succeeded, bringing the remaining Kefeda and her asteroid to the past. She pointed the asteroid at Refuge and prepared to wipe out all life on the planet. She didn’t know such a dramatic time crime would be prevented by the Temporal Enforcement Agency (TEA).
The Kefeda were rounded up and placed in a newly designed prison, a supermax located at the end of time as we know it. The TemporalMax Space Station (or Gu’ah as the inhabitants called it) was unlike any previous endeavor by the TEA. A space station capable of containing a mad Hive queen and the remnants of her entire hive.
The Kefeda were at the TemporalMax so long, they forgot why they were originally imprisoned. They forgot their own species, they forgot almost everything about themselves. But they remembered a planet called Refuge, and they knew it was home to their most hated enemy.
Then one day the unthinkable happened, there was a huge prison break at the TemporalMax. Hundreds of Da’uhnb guards were killed, and many, many of the most dangerous time criminals escaped. Some were trapped at the end of time without a way to time travel, just as the Da’uhnb had hoped when building the TemporalMax. But the Gu’ah was open long enough for the Kefeda to flee their cells and escape back in time to the present.
The Kefeda asteroid landed in the heart of the Goblin Lands, just five miles from the Shadow Dome in the deserts of Karov. And from it marched Quall N’drone Warriors, intent on starting a war with the Church of One, their only desire the Inquisitor Mortis Leonin…
A massive Quall N’drone force is preparing to lay siege to Dunesphere…but what will you do about the Kefeda Release?
