Spammers

As some of you may have noticed we’ve had a number of spam bots visit the forums recently. I’m going to try adding a CAPTCHA to the registration process at some point soon to prevent non humans (And I don’t mean olgogs or k’iorns!) from making accounts.

Dead should be fine as long as they are sentient, and were once human, olgog, k’iorn, etc.

I seems that the majority of new accounts created recently are just spammers. Too bad…

Yes it is sad to me as well.
We need to combat these spammers with more actual players. Make sure to send invites out to friends, family and classmates and coworkers. Spread the word!

I do find it hysterical that we now officially have spammers across the Globe hitting us.

Within the last week alone we have had someone from China selling knock off nikes, a guy from India selling gold for indian style wedding ceremonies, a gal from kenya selling traditional garb, a gal from thailand selling massages, and a pair of Americans selling real estate and payday loans.

I do like to think Dark Refuge has a multicultural team & multicultural players and now we have multicultural spammers.

Webmistress Celyse, Can you please do something about the Spammers pumping out blog posts. I am having trouble finding allies and enemies blog posts because of so many Spamblogs.

Hey guys, sorry about all the spammer nonsense. When someone makes a new account they now require approval before they are able to post, so hopefully this will eliminate the worst of our problems. If you or any of your friends make a new account and are rejected, please email either myself or the Narrator. Also, I’m currently deleting suspicious looking users by hand (mostly those who haven’t made any posts), so if I accidentally delete someone’s alt or someone’s friend’s account, please let me know.
