Goblin lands 2 intermission mission 3: Smuggling tons from the Dead dome

#1

Transport from the Dead Dome of Deldoroon

Godart had made a deal with the Five Families. Had he been an Earther no one would have batted an eye.
But since he was an Olgog there was nothing easy about these types of deals.

Laws in the Valley of Vegalia prevented this type of trade with nonhumans.
As a result Godart had to sneak his payment of 10 tons of Zela into the valley. That was a success and the trade went off without a hitch. But now that he was there on a landing pad with 10,000 tons of materials on pallets.

Hopefully he had planned the right egress plan taking into account the Veskan Robot pilots and hovercopters which regularly patrolled the areas surrounding the Lost colonies.

Mission Rules
First player to post gets a repost when all other players have finished posting to the mission in response to all other actions.
All other players may only make 1 posting.
Other players may only act as if they have seen the action of the first player who posts.
All other actions are compressed together by the DR team with a focus on storyline, so do not worry about paradoxes between different action posts.
Not every aspect of every action will be shown. This is especially true of actions that exceed two paragraphs.

Special Challenges: how will you transport 10,000 tons of material?
How will you avoid the Veskan Robot Pilots?
How will you sneak past Hovercopters patrols?
How will do all of the above without alerting the Brotherhood of the Fist?

If a large death toll occurs or a major attack is used as a distraction it will draw the attention of the Brothers of the Mind. If a Brother of the Mind shows up mission is considered a failure.

Open to all tribes and all mercs

.

This mission ends on Friday 31st October at 8.PM. E.S.T.

Once upon a time, there was a disgraced member of the Venerable Tribe of Yagogi’al the Og’ab. His name was Zh’ Hob’rhug referring to him being a mischievous and exploratory behavior as a cub and the “great stone loot” that he would find. He was full of excitement, and much great ambition. He would grow big and strong like his ancestors before him: acting as a brave zela scimitar carrying Yagogi tribal, finding an equally energetic mate in the charismatic Zh’gul Took and standing alongside in battle Yagogi’al the Og’ab himself. Life was to be grand with such status, but all this was before the downfall. As one of the Yagogi, it was the worst offense to lose the tribes most prized possession. On the very night that Yagogi’al’s only cub Tun’Dra came into the tribe, the young warrior Zh Hob’rhug lost his zela battle blade and thus began the legend of the secret keeper. For some time, Zh Hob’rhug hid from the rest of the tribe the fact that he had lost his zela blade. News had spread amongst the tribals, the mak’abs, the ur maks, the gor’abs and finally this grave news had reached to the elders. Yagogi’al the Og’ab called for his dear warrior, surely this news could not be true about the ambitious Zh Hob’rhug. In the tent of the elders which was normally a place of peace and meditations, surrounded by other respected elders and loved ones his mate and new cub, Yagogi’al the og’ab asked him to present his trusted blade. Zh Hob’rhug had no answer, for the news was true and on that day he was punished having his dominant hand removed as a statement of the Yagogi laws. He was now disgraced, for all to know of his shame and his mate to share in this misery; their old life was but a distant memory.

Then came the formation of the UtR, and the ordeal in the homeforge, and in the end of that very sticky situation had Zh Hob’rhug bringing new zela into the tribe. It was enough zela for 5 new battle blades (2 of which were actually made into blades, the rest were forged into arm and leg cuffs to hold the strongest of olgogs) and with it Zh Hob’rhug and his mate Zh’gul Took had risen above the disgrace and fully reinstated as active members of the tribe. Zh Hob’rhug was inspected by Orgog’ol, a young gor’ab and experienced medical examiner so that the zela splinters be removed from his wounded arm and the hand fully healed. Some things had gone back to the normal plans of the way life was supposed to have gone, but Zh Hob’rhug had continued his place as the secret keeper. Finding ways of keeping contacts and keeping Yagogi’al informed of interesting activities such as a new big spender in the lands throwing down large quantities of the most precious zela, and maybe just maybe Zh Hob’rhug could get in on some of that as well. He informed Yagogi’al that he had learned of 10,000 tons of materials that needed moving through the cover of night without fighting, and maybe they were just the tribe that could get the job done and make a new wealthy acquaintance.

Former Red Bishop Jamie’s feet ached. He had been wandering the Goblin Lands for months now learning about each of the new settlements and mini nations. He walked through the Port of Unen, Simonsburg, parts of Brez, (the less dangerous parts) through the UTR and through the Deral Collective (the non diseased parts). During his travel he heard of this Olgog who wanted to build a spaceship. When hearing of this Jamie laughed at the image of an Olgog with a Lego space ship running around yelling “SPACESHIP! SPACESHIP!!” over and over again. Ah, good times.

However it seemed like it was the real deal and he was moving tons and tons of raw material through this domed location. Alright, lets see how legit this was. After speaking to this Godart, Jamie was assigned the task of being the trail boss and driving a truck. Shrugging, this was a pay check after all. So he would play his part, drive the truck real casual like. If he was stopped he would show the paperwork (hopefully provided by Godart) to show that this was a perfectly legitimate caravan of goods. He would calmly and politely talk his way through any customs questions. If questioned about himself he would inform any Veskan that he was a former Church of Oner, and that as long as those non humans kept to their side of the fence they could do whatever they want. Humans for humanity am I right? of course i am. (this would convince them that of course Jamie wouldn’t work for any Olgogs or anything) He would be careful though, not to provoke anyone, or let himself be provoked. As a last resort he has three flashbangs, but as mentioned last resort.

If the caravan was attacked by things like Nightmares, or Uth raiders Jamie would drive defensively and rely on his allies to defeat the enemies. If needed he will use his pistol to give some covering fire but there is only so much one can do while driving.

Afterwards Jamie would collect his pay and see if there was anymore work that needed to be done.

“Minus 2 Year. Spend 1 ton of Zela…”

Get the Lucky fate Squad into shape.

Setup the Beckett Company in Dusk and hire 15 or so Earthers (including figurehead Sam Bakula).

Make deal with Igor Yerin Abulard of the Five Familes in Dead Domes of Deldoroon.

Recruit Olgogs interested in going into space (doesn’t have to be Immutables).

Use Beckett Company to buy 15 or so Veskan Big Rigs and start hauling in the colonies.

Send Olgogs to Zelga for education. Godart studies Science skill. Delegate work and responsibility.

Keep Beckett Compnay on the up and up. Pay taxes, keep nose clean and don’t do anything illegal. Make some Ghaz from it.

Send Earther drivers though Valley of Vegalia to deliver food and half the Zela payment to Five Familes. Ask if there is anything the Lucky Fate Squad can help with.

Study the culture, habits and technology the Brotherhoods of the Valley.

Test run Tripple D Job in the Dead Domes of Deldoroon with Earthers and learn from mistakes.

Godart keeps sane.

“Minus 1 Year. Spend another 1 ton of Zela…”

Godart runs Beckett Company, studies more Science and tries to raise Drive and Pilot from 2 to 3.

Hire and educate more Olgogs (train backup drivers also).

Work on Tripple D Job: build self propelled weather balloons that look bigger on radar, install life-form masking tech in cabs of trucks (lead shielding, human hormone spray and etc.), create really good disguises (masks, gloves, clothes) and train Olgogs and Earther Drivers on the Valley of Vegalia.

Send Earther drivers though Valley of Vegalia to deliver food and last half the Zela payment to Five Familes. See if there is anything Lucky Fate Squad can help them with.

Weep for the Goblin Lands while protecting home base in Port Unen.

Listen to my Squad – don’t be a jerk. Gear up.

Godart stays calm.

“0 Year, the present. The Tripple D Job.”

Look for help. Send the word out. Sent up Foward Base an hour away outside from the eyes AND lands of VoV. Setup up “weather balloons” north of VOV out of sight.

Breath.

“You got the plan guys. Recap Time: Over the course of 3 to 7 days we going to send 4 Hover Big Rigs at a time from the Beckett Company Depot south of VOV into DDD. We’re doing this three times because if we send everything at once, it makes the patrols nervous and more willing to pull us over. I suggest to be lightly armed because anti-vehicle weapons is a red flag. If we do get pulled over, don’t worry because the Earther drivers have the correct paper work. We are picking up scraps from DDD. And, we have a way to fool them if they check the back cab. The Ologogs in the back will be disguised well along with the life-form masking tech. This technology been tested and proven to work.”

“Here are your uniforms. They are Halloween themed. For the new guys: it’s an old celebration about dressing up to fool monsters and getting candy. My uncle… used to celebrate it when he was alive. They are a little goofing looking because it’ll make the patrols think less of us. Fools and silly outsiders that shouldn’t have a second look. Not worth bothering.”

“I’ll give you the low down on how to act in VOV and DDD.”

Godart has Fast Talk 5 to talk his way out of things. He’s going on all trips.

“We’ll get to the docks above the city streets with the hover mode and load up the cargo. No one should be there because the Five Families don’t want to get caught if anything goes wrong. Watch for a man named Igor. He setup this deal but there might be something off about him. There are nightmares and other half-nightmare-humans that could be very dangerous.”

Godart sighs.

“After everything is transported to the Depot, we head out to Port Unen in full force. The Depot will be guarded with 20 plus 30 or so Goblin Gunners I’ve recruited over a couple of years.

Plus you guys.

They are armed with .50 Cal Machineguns with under barrel flamethrowers and Olgog Plate plus Trenchcoats. Goblin Gunners, you know – like me. Plus lots flashbangs, 4 anti-air guns, 3 mortars, 2 tracked APCs with crude rocket launchers and 1 Red Bishop Artillery Strider painted red. We got enough Brezan Stalkers and carts to move the stuff. That stuff isn’t going into VOV.”

“Once again, Any questions? Payment is 10 lbs of zela dust and 100 tons of your choice of metals and plastic along with 100 percent completion bonus of five gold bars 5lbs and anything else we haggle on. This is a simple hauling job, well planed, not an attack. We are not going to hurt these people. They don’t deserve it. If they get wise, we cut and run because the lives are not worth it.”

Godart thinks: If they get wise, I have 20 self propelled weather balloons that look bigger on radar that will be released north of VOV to distract the Brotherhoods while we escape. I’ll also keep a look out for treachery outside and within.

“Lets do this!” plays song: Blind Guardian - Fly

Lorne cracked his knuckles as he slid into the cab, sitting shotgun next to the driver. He was awkwardly fitted into the seat, as his platemail didn’t allow for easy mobility, but then again, as long as he could move his arms up and down he could fulfill his role. Setting his blade next to him, he looked out the window, preparing himself for the task at hand.

All in all, it didn’t sound like a terribly hard job to him. As long as things stayed cordial, he couldn’t see why any harm would come to any of them. It was of course, fortunate for the group that while the “Explorer Lord of Chooru” was a bit clumsy at times, he was a smooth talker when he wanted to be. He would fulfill the duties that this olgog Godart had assigned to him, accompanying cabs on all trips, and keeping watch at the docks inside Deldoroon.

He was quite excited to actually be inside the dead dome, for as a shadowmancer he was intrigued by the nightmares that lived there and looked forward to seeing (from afar hopefully) the creatures that inhabited the dome alongside the five families. He would also be prepared to resolve any conflicts that arose during the dock transfer, using paperwork and his title(s) as his main defense.

Following the mission, he would seek out Godart for payment for services rendered, and would remain nearby for a time to record progress and statistics on the spaceship for the museum in Brez.

(OOC For the part of my tribe, we are not taking direct actions, but will react if OtO is found in our lands)

Lur Union Fighters on the move with Olgog Radars

Following Lurtor’s news, Lalder has ordered a deployment of all Lur Union Fighters to patrol. This patrol is for looking for enemies as well as Neliffs. The Olgog Radars are fully active and consistent checkins are required. In the event of the Neliffs being found, reports will be filtered up to the UtR, EEF, and the Choir of Payne. No attacks will be made to wipe them out, as special gogs are required.

Lalder has also ordered more Lur Union Fighters to be made to help expand the coverage of the search.

Additional Duties

Additionally, as protecting the lands, the fighters will intervene on any nightmare attack or attacks on any group by warmonger’s forces or enemies.

IF OtO is found in our lands

But with Olgog the Olgog actively trying to sabotage our joining the Colonies, he is not welcome in Lalder’s lands and will be escorted out. (UtR lands as well if others support.) OtO and his allies will be Forced to go north and around. (Notably closer to church of One). Additionally, his presence will be reported to the UtR and the EEF, including what he’s doing/moving. The EEF will be allowed to intervene as well.

Tor’ab will be summoned to enforce this saying “Olgog the Olgog, you are not welcome in our lands. You have attacked us in the past and recently we have found out about your plotting against us. Please leave. We do not wish a fight, but we will not let you plot here. If you plan to fight, know that your presence has already been reported and your actions will be judged by all. Our fighters will escort you out. If you do not leave, we will wait for a third party to escort you out.”

Force will be avoided, but if attacked and after documenting and communicating OtO’s provocation, Fighters would return fire. A report will be pasted back that will goto Lalder, UtR, and the EEF.

A message would goto Mag Buskt relaying his champion has once again attacked the tribe and details the actions to defense of ourselves and lands. Relaying:
“We have no wish for conflict amongst us, Olgogs or even earthers. We need to deal with this continual hostility before things explode even further. OtO has been recorded plotting against us and is not welcome in our lands because of this. And now he attacks us while protecting our borders. We do not have recordings of this last event, but we will let you interrogate any surviving gog so you can know the truth of this and orders given to our gogs not to attack first.”

#7

Olgog the Olgog

OtO would setup the outpost, finding a defensible position inside the given parameters. (1 hour away, defensible, can get hover trucks in and out)

Platforms would be build, so that materials are easily extracted from the trucks. In the down time, material would be sorted and inventoried.

If requests where given for specific material pallets would be made for the specific people involved, according to the wishes (with GoDarts approval).

He would ensure that GoDart’s men work appropriately with their guard duty.

He also would radio MAg Buskt and let him know that he wasn’t in The valley, he was working logistics outside of the territories.

#8

The Yagogi tribals would part ways, Zh Hob’rhug would head with Godart, while Og Or’gog would stay back at the facility with Champion OtO, each had a snatcher familiar perched atop their should (with Hobya’Ab and Or’tor watching). Or’tor, the mighty yadol shaman had a crew of 6 tribals with the ritual totem paints along with a pack of the native creatures to come in for an underground extraction. Zh Hob’rhug had seen Godart’s interactions, a double cross was possible but he wanted to stay true to his word, he would just like to verify things for himself having his own zela blade touch to Godart’s hand. Something just seemed out of place, but once tested that this wasn’t entirely a set up Zh Hob’rhug would have others get involved.

Regardless, once he got reassurance, Zh Hobrhug would wear and do whatever necessary to assist. On call, the totem crew Zh Gog’ol Mak’lur, Onigor, Maggul and Der loo’Dol channeling the spirit of mak hob’lok are there to pull the materials. Hobya’Ab, Kalok Mag’ab and Yalar Took can teleport in for defense against nightmares, and Yalar Took can cast GRASPING VINES around the cargo for the mak hob’lok totems to haul. Anyone not with totem abilites will have the olgogolem armor pendant for extra strength and protection.
