Goblin Lands 2 Finale Part 1 CIVIL WAR Misson Week 25: The Olgog Civil War of 2218

#1

The Olgog Civil War of 2219

The United tribes of Refuge have gained a significant rupture as the Ka Rhug Tribe was involved in the violent sacrifice of members of the United Tribes of Refuge. In its first overt case of internal strife, they must find a way to deal with this religious violence.
There are two sites for this battle.

Site 1 (Karov): CAMP CLEANSING FIRE
This Kalok worshipping site has been the center of a rash of disappearances before the season of the Flame winds have begun. It has multi-tiered defenses and but is a smaller fort-sized structure. This site is currently also under weekly hits by flamewinds.

Site 2 (Tla’loc’al) Mt. Rhug

This is the heart of the production of Kalok’s Fell Balgogs, with more and more coming from volcano.
Currently aside from the army seen at the battle of Simonsburg, there are fifty Fell Balgogs defending the Mountain. They are strong automatons and when in the presence of the Avatar of Kalok cannot be banished.
This fortress is very heavily defended and all UtR members must clearly choose sides in their post.
IMPORTANT NOTE: UNLESS KOLGOL or an UTHVELOR reveals it, or Spies from Certain specific tribes reveal themselves to reveal it, none know that Kolgol has the avatar of Kalok inside himself.

Site 2 is also under attack by a five packs of Pit Mongrels; the Eternal Seventh (7 pit mongrels, 7 Juveniles), Gorna’na’na Pack (3 pit mongrels, 15 Juveniles), the Withered Tree Pack (25 pit mongrels, 27 Juveniles), Andara’s Axes (150 pit mongrels, 70 Juveniles), and Ardana’s Chosen (100 pit mongrels, 10 Juveniles). They have each been sent by various hivequeens to wipe out Kalok’s Balgogs and bring their leader in. Andara’s Axes and Ardana’s Chosen both can summon in Quall Warriors from their eternal Ka Gor’na. These Red Fur packs will kill most greenfurs they come across if given the chance.
Negotiation will be a challenge, and impossible for Warmonger’s Dead and for Ka Rhug tribals.

Kolgol may set his defenses in his post.

The UtR and Der’al Collective may work together, against each other, however they choose.
In addition Mercs can be hired by both sides to focus on the battlefield.

Mission Rules
First player to post gets a repost when all other players have finished posting to the mission in response to all other actions.
All other players may only make 1 posting.
Other players may only act as if they have seen the action of the first player who posts.
All other actions are compressed together by the DR team with a focus on storyline, so do not worry about paradoxes between different action posts.
Not every aspect of every action will be shown. This is especially true of actions that exceed two paragraphs.

Open to all tribes and all mercs

This mission ends on Friday 4th July at 8.PM. E.S.T.
Recommended that all players post before July 4th so you can enjoy the holiday!

Lalder did not like this war that was brewing, but information could win it, or even stop it. To Lalder’s tribesmen pilots and Auf Lal’al Radar operators he said "We need information about the location of all possible enemies and former allies. I do not know yet what we are going to do, but he need to know who and where gogs are. Scout both Ka Rhug Tribe’s locations, One in Karov and Mt Rhug. keep your distance and use the Radar to keep your distance staying high. Even at these safe distance, the radar should penetrate into the caves so we can see what is going on.

Your actions now will save lives later. Now move out."

Ship Deployment (Tribesmen Pilots with at least Pilot 4/5 and Ships Op Sensor 4, LR 3, Shadow 2, Earth 2, Water 2 ) (Many also have Air 2 and Fire 2)
The Carrier and Destroyer are both in the area of Tla’loc’al, though not being directly used for mapping. 30 Lur Union Fighers are also with the Destroyer and Carrier. It is the Fighters that will be used to keep a patrol going to track all troop movements. They all will be running Chill shield, and Ice Shields (Note all Lur Union Fighters are already protected by Protective Aura).

10 Lur Union Fighters will be used to keep patrols going and keep and eye on Camp Cleansing Fire in Karov. They may be relocated based on need later.

Knowing that this will displace tribes, and some tribals would be displaced. Knowing that some gogs would join other tribes, OtO instructs 35 Ur Rhugs to go in deep undercover to the tribes around. Special considerations are given to more actively militarizing tribes such as lalder’s

Glog looked over the fifteen other warriors who had the skill for this attack. He was sadden to have left his mate once more, but this needed to be done. He had told the others to leave any unneeded gear and a finger at home with Lok’Uf’Tor as they might die on this mission and did not want their enemy to get their weapons. Messages had been sent to Gul’Lal and Dargor’lur letting them know what they were doing and how to handle the situation no matter the outcome. The tribe was preparing for war, and this force of 16 would be its first strike against the traitors.

When they reach the volcano they separated themselves from any of the groups attacking. While a larger force could be better they needed to be left alone while they work. Once they had an area where they can work without hurting anyone they all make wooden spears with no tip. After they have enough spears they gather together and channel the needed Leyas, into rocks they had prepared to add to the spears, to freeze everything they touch.

Glog will grow wings then, with one spear in each hand, he will fly up and throw the spears into the openings of the volcano. Every day the group repeats this attack until the mountain is a frozen waist.

Forces
Glog- Tor’og(pc) -1 Charisma, +1 EmC, +1 Temper, Shape shifting 4, Leyas Combat Ranged skill 5- no gear

Tla’Hob- Aufgog +1 Charisma, +1 Em.C., Leyas Rating 4 (Adept), Air Lvl 3, Earth Lvl 3, Fire Lvl 3, Water Lvl 3, Healing Lvl 4, General Lvl 2, Shadow 1- minimum amount of gear

5 Goblin Vandles- Adept F.S.3 Earth lvl 2, Air lvl 2, Water lvl 2, Fire lvl 2 and Shadow lvl 2- no gear

9 Ur Rhugs- Leyas Rating 3 (Adept), Shadow Lvl 3, General Lvl 1- Each has a pair of Frost Storm Rings, no other gear.

Plan
All members of the group except the 9 Ur Rhugs will work together to make freezing artifacts which Glog will then throw into the volcano.
The 9 Ur Rhugs will deal with any threats to attack the working members of the team.

As “The Auf” followed the events during and leading up to the outbreak of civil war, he grew more and more dissapointed. Not just in the Ka Rhug tribe for their actions as of late, but also in the olgog nation. The old aufgog had only agreed to go to war against the Church of One in the interests of uniting the olgog tribes, but his heart ached to witness olgogs who had long been allies turning against each other.

There would be no way to sufficiently justify taking a side in this bloody conflict. “The Auf” refused to take an olgog life, especially since the Ol’Lur had an allied friendship with tribes on both sides. No, the Ol’Lur would stay out of this war.

Alone in his chamber, “The Auf” prayed that the bloodshed would end quickly and that all involved could one day re-unite. He also hoped that everything the tribes had worked so hard to achieve in the last year would not be undone.

(OOC: The Ol’Lur will not be fighting in the civil war on any side and will remain neutral. They will however, welcome any refugees with open arms, healing, food and shelter.

Most importantly, I just wanted to share my tribe’s opinion on this conflict.)

Ser Resugent in response to the violence in Tla’loc’al sends six Priests to tend to the wounded in the rear lines away from Mt. Rhug. They will tend to the loyalist UTR forces. They shall tend to injuries using bandages and leyas (Priest will have Healing 2 and Medicine/Healing at 3) In addition Ser Resugent has deployed fifty mounted Paladins (F.S. 6, Conscious, Light 2 Healing 2) to act as a rear guard to protect supply lines and medical care areas. They will not enter the main combat area unless asked to and will be tasked to make sure no one attacks the loyalists UTR forces from the rear. They are armed with standard Paladin gear plus lances. They will be each accompanied by a Squire (So fifty of them) non mounted armed with bows and arrows who shall act as ranged support. Each shall have a club as a secondary weapon. (Squires F.S. 4 unconscious Light 1)

Gobbog loved the wind in his fur. His flayer pet, Kitty, held him tight with her strong arms as she flew them both above the battle field on wings of fire. She was so beautiful, her scales shone a glistening red that seemed to reflect the fires of Mt. Rhug.
Gobbog wondered how many armies would come to this battle. One would be the UtR, another the Der’al Collective. The third would be the Red Furs from the south, independent and unknown in this battle.

Gobbogs first order was to make that known unknown a known known. He sends one pit mongrel juvenile within the Army of the True Flame to each of the Red Furs tribals. They were to relay the message that the Red Furs must strike hard and fast at the Ka Rhug, but not to fight with the UtR unless attacked first, and to withdraw once Mt. Rhug was stopped and Kalok banished.

Any red furs that could be convinced to would join Makka’na on the slopes of Mt. Rhug for a final attack through the shadows.

Kalok was the false flame that the Quall had been warning them about all along. Gobbog hadn’t understood what the Dimension Walker had tried to tell him. What Vellum and Quill had been saying to him all along. The need for the Army of the True Flame was greatest now.

Gobbog would lead the majority of the Army of the True Flame against Mt. Rhug but Five Zh’ka Guls (Horned Dogs) would stay at Zh’ka’al and five Zh’Ka Guls (Horned Dogs) would stay with the Feral Reservation.
The army that marched under Gobbog would consist of two groups.
Group One was under Gobbog, himself, the KGM Horned Dog Riflegogs (dressed as Army of the True Flame for the armor’s fire protection) would support the Army of the True Flame Zh’ka Dols in focus fire pelting of the Olgogs leading the Balgogs. They would move fast, using shadows to escape if the Balgogs came near. Ranged shots would be their main attacks focus, both with the glass+dung balls and Ka’na’al’s blackpowder bombs (under production every week since GL1).
A smaller group of the remaining Pit Mongrels and Zh’Ka Rapis led by Makka’na will do a heroic assault on Mt. Rhug to capture or slay Kalok. If she can, she will drive Kalok or his avatar into the Volcano as the UtR initiates its plans. Her bodyguard is a Quall Warrior Ogurox who will easily sacrifice himself to finish Makka’na’s plan (especially if he can save her).
She will use the commcrystal to communicate with Lalder and use his air support and cave information to avoid the main Ka Rhug defensive forces and sneak her smaller vanguard in. She would only go on the proper signal from Lalder and if the signal is never given she and Gobbog will only attack the Ka Rhug from afar to keep them beseiged inside their mountain.
After the battle the Army of the True Flame would gather all the Olgogs who needed new homes, and will directly confront any group of Red Furs that does not pull back from Tla’loc’al (but only if Kalok is successfully defeated, if not they will try and get the Red Furs to join the True Flame army if a siege occurs).
The Army of the True Flame will use their Boneskippers to quickly get into offensive positions without need of marching en mass.

All flayers would be on rescue missions picking up and saving the wounded or VIPs.

A barren wind blew across the volcanic wastelands surrounding Mt. Rhug. The ground, jagged with obsidian and rocky spires, was nearly impassable in many places. Despite this, a road led through the center of this waste, packed earth allowing for 10 olgogs to pass easily shoulder to shoulder. This road carved through the landscape all the way up to the volcano itself. The volcano, if observed from this location, was veiled in volcanic gas and ash, a slow spiral that enveloped the mountain. This was due to the channels that had been carved into the center of the volcano, diverting natural poisons away from the citadel atop the mountain, and into a shield around the mountain. The road passed through this shield at one point, a deep trench that allowed passerby to safely bypass under the wall of gasses. It was here that the first line of defense was.

Two legionaries stood at each side of the road at this trench, tired looking, and seemingly bored. Even in these times, they stood guard here, checking on traffic and maintaining order. When the armies approached, the guards would request identification and the nature of their visit to Ka’Rhug. Of course, this was a ruse, as one had a comm crystal on under his belt to relay information back to command. If attacked, they would be teleported away by a Kalokgog hiding in the trench.

The command center that the crystal was linked to was high above the deep trench, in the center of the volcano. Eru’Khaz stood in this room, a massive chamber with high vaulted ceilings, the heart of Ka’Rhug’s chain of command. He stood before a large carved scaled model of Mt. Rhug, a beautifully ornate piece that had been made by the same artisans who had made the Balgogs. It served as a sort of relief map of defense for Eru’Khaz, who was acting as commander for the coming battle. His lieutenants, different commanders in parts of the army stood by and listened to his orders. All of the non essential personnel, that is, those who were not automatons or legionaries, had been secretly evacuated to Camp Cleansing Fire to ensure they would be out of harm’s way. Using leyas, 3 Kalokgogs had been assigned to use Tunnel Materials to make a segue far enough out from the volcano that they could emerge and continue safely.

The rest of the army were in for a hard fight however. All other entrances except the main one to the volcano had been sealed off by collapsing tunnels above and below. The main entrance, where the earthen road terminated, was impressive in size. Twin pillars carved like balgogs stood over 30 feet tall, supporting the roof of the tunnel that continued into the volcano. More guards stood here, this time 5 of them, and these looked battle ready. Above them, a dozen imps cradled into recesses in the rock, laying in wait to ambush attackers. The other remaining imps soared around the volcano, keeping watch for early attackers.

Other than these forces, no others were outside the volcano, except for Kolgol. He stood atop the crown of the mountain, in the citadel that was still under construction. Grimacing out from his rocky throne, he contemplated his situation. His plans would be carried out, and he had faith in his army, but he knew it wouldn’t be enough. He touched his face, brushing away the pieces of obsidian that had once again started to form around his eyes. He would eventually seek help for his condition, but not until his people were safe.

Descending into the volcano, he entered the main gathering hall of Ka’Rhug. It was in the crater of the volcano, a natural massive place that could hold all his forces comfortably. He addressed those who were gathered there, Some 60 legionaries, 15 Kalokgogs, 15 hellhounds and their handlers, and then in the back, the 50 accursed Balgogs.

“My people, defenders of our faith. You are called upon today to protect your home, to protect your families! Those who seek to keep our people in the dark now seek to put us down, to destroy our message. They will have no mercy, so neither should you. We may all die this day, but we must not let it be in vain! They will hear the tales of our battle all the way in Kasanth, where shadows reign supreme. It will bring attention of our plight to leaders far and wide, and maybe someday, our ancestors will reclaim the honor that our race once held. But today, today you must fight, and fight hard for the sake of not only our tribe, but our existence as a race! Go now, show them why they should justly fear our righteousness, for Ka’Rhug!”

And they did, into tunnels they went, tunnels that ran beneath the volcanic landscape of Ka’Rhug. It is said that these same tunnels are the final defense of Ka’Rhug, forming a labyrinthine maze that stretches for endless miles in the dark. Some places flooded with water from Lake Ruil, some terminated in chambers full of toxic gas, and some plunged deep into caverns full of lava. But at the head of each of the 5 platoons were 3 Kalokgogs, who had been this way many times and could also use leyas to prevent being lost. Each patrol also consisted of 12 legionaries, and 3 hellhounds.

At the start of the battle, one Kalokgog in each platoon would use Change Earth to open up a hole above, and send attackers falling down into aforementioned hazards. The second Kalokgog would use Tunnel Materials to provide a safe way up for their forces to surge out of, utilizing the terrifyingly quick charges of the hellhounds followed by a stiff shield wall from the legionaries. The final Kalokgog would use Grow Spears to make a wall facing out from the entrance preventing enemies from surrounding the tunnel or charging into it.

The main force that would probably create the most notice, was the Balgogs. They would march from the gates once the enemy’s forces had been fielded, charging their way through the midst of the battle. Far above, in the temple next to Kolgol, Gor’mag once more wove his leyas into the Gordargor of Kalok sending it to go and accompany the Balgogs.

If enemies made it past the gates, they would find a massive chamber that in times of peace, was used as a market. Now however, hardened warriors stepped from behind pillars and stalls, the brezan 15 led by Kharos. Wearing his suit of honored lamellar armor, he would draw his honorific samurai’s daisho set with katana and wakazashi, and would charge with a guttural yell. Behind him his men would follow armed with fine iron swords, 2 of them clad in plate mail holding an earther heavy autopistol and earther grenades. Once they had been killed, the ascent to the top of the volcano would be clear, if one could find the way.

Having reached the top, one would find themself in a half built temple of sorts, the toxic gases from the shield being cleansed by artifices on the walls. Kolgol would be there, although only for a moment. He’d send Fire Lancets at the attackers, and summon Inferno, The sword of Flames and hurl it into the lava far below, pouring fire leyas into the very heart of the volcano in hopes of making it erupt. He would never allow his home to be occupied by an enemy force. Having done this, he would create an energy bridge to K’yrpos and seal it behind him.

Important Note to Narrator! All soldiers involved in this mission have been given a mark of Kalok under their armor in the event of their death.

Kaloklur

Time was bided in a tribe, one that didn’t kill them on sight. His fellow pit mongrels were gathering, and it was now time for him to act.

Kaloklur would go to each of the tribe/groups attacking the false fire god, with words of warning. The UTR was coming, and they will kill the pit mongrels unless they joined the UTR. Which would most likely lead to their death. They could also join the Deral collective, but then they would be forced to join a tribe that is willing to attack and kill them, if it is opportune for them.

He would describe the ways the UTR will attack, along with the Deral collective. He will describe the ways Kolgol attacks with the false fire god. And the futility of attacking at this moment.

He would then state a plan, one that would be better for the pit mongrels. If they were to let these power hungry false gods fight it out, they would then be able to take parts of the land after they killed each other off. That they would be able to build a pit mongrel utopia, where the fire gods gave there blessing to all that wished it. One that had a direct access to the kingdom of the fire gods.

To do this, they should join him and let the others fight it out. That they should go to unen where others of there kind live. After going up towards bartsport (northern most city) they should travel south gathering more and more of the true faith (pit mongrels) believers. That they shall end up in the feral lands where more of there kin is.

After this is traveled, they will return to the mountain of the false fire god, take it for themselves and open a portal to the fire god realm so that all will receive the fire gods blessing (quall larva).

NOTE: This character has negotiator with the red furs (he is really good at persuading them). If he succeeds, he will go to Bill, thank him for protecting him while they needed it and take the red furs from the tribe ( including the prisoner red fur they have). This would be a complete schism from the red furs (although they never really integrated into gultor’uf)

Bill
Bill would speak to Alma, and the other tribes that had come (at least their gor’abs).

We are karovians, we survive where others can not. We survive in the deserts, where no one is suppose to be able to live. We survive on our own strength, where each of us can survive if stranded in karov, with no tools or supplies. Our self reliance is our greatest strength.

It is also our greatest weakness. My tribe and I have learned this first hand, with a particular destructive Mag’ol. Our Mag’ol’s father and his Uhryu tried to raise him right, but failed. When he became one with the sands and the last Mag’ol took over GulTor’uf, things took a turn for the worse. He lead our tribe to death, because of his ways. Our reliance on ourselves to solve this problem lead to issues compounding over what they could have been.

Now there is a Karovian tribe that is part of the UTR. A group that had some members join because they talked about an olgog nation, one where we are free. A great ideal to strive for, but one in every implementation gives power to a few gogs. And now that power has lead a member of the UTR to summon a demon. The tribe responsible has an outpost in Karov, in Yagogi’s land.

The Yagogi, a tribe my has some contention with, and one who values the self reliance that all karovians do. A tribe that has a major problem that they need to solve, and one that they will try and solve themself. A problem that is larger than their tribe, that needs all of us karovians to solve.

Our tribes, with all of our strength can easily stop this outpost from becoming a spawn point for deamons. Together we can make the area safe for our fellow Karovians. Together we can make a strong Karov, for all karovians !

(Speech to convince the other Gor’ab and tribes around to help the yagogi tribe) Actually planning would involve Bill notifying of UTR tactics he has seen along with other tribe members. Generally would indicate information about the location and other information about the tribes he can. Would send 10 ur maks and 5 adepts (that survived rapi’og raid if they had someone who could calm them down. Bill would go to try and keep them calm if no one else does.

Normally would send the red furs too, but if Kaloklur succeeds at gathering the tribals, they would join him and no longer be part of Gult’toruf

A energy bridge would open to the south of the fighting and out would march 700 Pit Mongrels, They would approach the Army of the True Flame. “Gobbog, I am Ka’yi’ab I lead this pack of Pit Mongrels from the holy lands of Ar’Yay Hivequeen. We have been instructed to assist your efforts here. Useless death only serves the evils like this false god. I have been told to trust in your leadership, you are the chosen of the Ka’Gor’Na upon this world. You will lead the tribes here to glory, onward toward destiny!”

All Pit Mongrels are armed with Quall Hide armor with Protective Aura (8 successes) and Obsidian swords with Fire Sword (8 Successes) plus each Pit Mongrel has 4 Javelins with Fire Lancet (8 successes when thrown bursts into flame and guides itself to the target)

Burke never liked religious fanatics, ever since that Giant clown priest tried to touch him in the alley using his small robots to keep him from escaping. Burke hoped on his robot buddy and would use him as a hover bike. He would use his laser sniper rifle to make head shots on the Fell Balgogs, along with any Ka Rung tribals. If the enemy located him Burke would manuver to use the UTR forces as mobile living shields by positioning his bike behind them. If any of the UTR forces questioned him he would tell them that he was hired by a Colonial officer who wishes to remain anonymous to assist them. Burke’s personal safety and the safety of his robot buddy is the most important thing. That is why he will use the UTR members as cover for his sniping.

Burke would take 2 shots, then move to another cover and take another 2 shots. The UTR forces are large enough for him to do this for a while. If he runs out of UTR people to hide behind, he shall use the Army of the True Flame next. Preferably the UTR.

The Outcasts will deploy as per Lalder’s plan. They will use Lur union fighters to remain mobile and redeploy as the fight dictates. They will form into twenty teams of two. One team member will act as a sniper and be armed with a sniper rifle and an assault rifle. The other will act as security and be armed with a shit gun, a rifle and side arm. Heavy weapons teams will also deploy built around their eight 50 cals and their rocket launchers. These teams will engage large groups or hard targets. All of the remaining grave dust ammo will be distributed. As evenly as possible.

Rum blood will make as many awarding stones as he can (fire) and these will be split among the teams they will set them and fight from inside them. It isn’t perfect but will give some protection form fire leyas. Rum blood and boys will stay on the fighters and use their leyas to help cover the outcasts and disrupt any hostiles.

If Kolgol is sighted all of the outcasts will coordinate fire on him all remaining liquid nitrogen warheads will be saved to be used in him. As they have been told that most of the tribe is innocent the Outcasts will take prisoners if and when possible.

Krodnok wasn’t messing around here. It was offensive to him, that this thing, this ‘God’, had been brought into being. He was going to put a stop to it.

To the Volcano at Mt. Rhug, he sent the Flying Forbidden Armory. It should put a large enough dent in what was going on at the Volcano to count as the ‘help’ Lalder had asked for. “Do whatever you have to,” he told the ooze that was the Armory. “That volcano needs to be destroyed.”

To Camp Cleansing Fire, he would go himself, along with 5 Dead WarMachines, and 50 Dead Olgogs. He would stay in the air, raining down Magi-Pistol fire, and attacks with his Hell-Guns, while the WarMachines, also in the air, would do the same with their Magi-Cannons. The 50 Dead Olgogs would act as the ground assault team. Camp Cleansing Fire would be destroyed without predjudice. Bodies will be collected, as is standard of an attack by Krodnok’s followers.

Kalok was going to be taken out. Krodnok would see to it. This was step one.

A plan for dealing with the betrayal of Kolgol and his Ka’Rhug was coming together; but for the Yagogi it was more a personal response having their lands invaded under the guise of being an ally, and then being told bold faced lies. The first actions came from two elders of the tribe, being Mag’Ol Zhya Gog’mis, and Mak’ab Yalar Took. The Mag’Ol took a prized gift from the Falling Star homeforge, taking two (of the four) sets of zela handcuffs and the one leg cuff to use his WEAPONSMITHING abilities to forge them into barbed arrowheads. It would leave the victims helpless to the call of leyas, easier to then handle and take an experiences medical practitioner to remove. Yalar Took on the other hand had been very busy, having been artificing the barge to a vampiric/chill bomb and having learned greater use of earth leyas ( EARTH L5- Rewards, Yagogi’al’s Choice:raise 1 Leyas). Their main focus was to evict Kolgol from Camp Cleaning Fire and take as many of them as prisoners, preferably alive but if necessary dead or trophies.

Using the Phantasmal Familiar, Yalar Took will scout out the lands surrounding the Camp. Well below the level of Camp Cleansing Fire, Yalar will create a mass of GRABBING VINES all surrounding the compound. A group led by Mag’ol Zhya Gog’Mis, Maggul, Mighty Yadol shaman Or’tor and the cub Tun’Dra, each having their own respective group to be in charge of. Or’tor, having her dire mighty yadol and calling to the pack will be in charge of the totem students (Der’ LooDol, Ol’Yyangog and Gor’ Lallur). Each one has communed with the totem spirit of MIGHTY YADOL, and will be partnered with a yadol, attempting to weaken the ground structure below the camp to collapse tunnels making way for Yalar’s GRABBING VINES, and flushing out the army within. From outside will be a pincer attack looking to put down the Ka’Rhug’s forces, It will be Zhya Gog’mis (with Dais, Thumpa, Shaz, Sheela, Ramm, Lootla Yigog, Zh’gul Took, P’hin’Na, Hobya’Ab and Or’gog Mak)and Maggul (with Bazman, Gibbs, Flint, Cougar, Da King, Gogg, Ulk, Recker, Capo, and Big Chief) leading thier forces enhanced by the Olgogolem pendant armor and Tribal Fury. The ranged crew lead by Tun’Dra (with Mawen Rapider, Tor’or A’tor, Magi’tor, Uf Gul’lok, Tori’ Og, Ol’mak, Gor Ime’gor, Urgog Mag’on, Zhor’ab, Or’on Der’na, Kalok Mag’ab, and Orgog’ol) will look to put down attackers using the zela arrowheads, and most dangerous threats in zela cuffs. Tun’Dra though he may not be a gor’ab like his father, can run with the best of them, while the gor’ab fighting are all singing a battle hymn, using TROUBADOUR of some sort. Those of high power (3) are casting WAR SONG with they hymn, then (1) casting PROTECTIVE SONG while rest (8) are casting SONAR looking out for hidden threats as well as possible allies. And there is the battle of Camp Cleansing Fire.

Yagogi’al the Og’ab really did not want to take part of the invasion of Mount Rhug, through he would be present from a distance in case of the reemergence of of Demon Kalok. He was joined by Zhgog’ol Maklur, the tribe uhryu and fifteen newer Mak’abs (Kuglok, Og’ Kol, Tla’ya, Mak Lal’mag, Tor Yilur, Zhol’ya, Deriya Mag, Der’al Maklal, Ya’ru, Ur’al, Yyan Mak’rhug, Og rapi’ab, Lur Loo’ya, Kol Yi’mis and Kalok Dol) to foresee the deployment of their massive leyas attack. They delivered the barge to Lalder, with whom they have discussed dropping the vampiric/chill bomb atop the citadel of Mount Rhug. Zhgog’ol has communed with the totem spirit of GROWLING for an easy SHADOW WALK escape, while the Mak’abs are around to SUMMON ELEMENTAL SPIRITS. When the barge is dropped, eight Mak’abs will SUMMON AIR SPIRITS to cast WALL OF WIND, to contain the blast inside Mount Rhug, the other 7 will SUMMPON WATER SPIRITS to cast (4)EXTINGUISH FLAME and (3) CHANGE FORM on the liquid waste to solid. If Kalok does rise up again after the attack, Yagogi’al is there to blast it with MAg BUSKT DARKNESS.

Having been spying on those claiming to be an ally and yet working against the UtR for their own benefits, Yalar Took goes off at plan her own course of action against the enemy in a personal matter. She has already left samples of herself with Zhgog’ol Maklur and Mawen Rapider, but this would be dealing with problems, “killing two birds with one stone” type matters. Learning of the plight of the crew of the Inferno, Yalar Took would trying drawing out the Armorfiend that has been making her life a living hell. She will lure it out into following her aboard the vessel, parrying using the ReshedRapi, giving it the opportunity of attacking her while defending herself only with ACID CONE. Now Yalar Took is gifted with MONSTER LORE, knows fully will that acid attacks will have no effect of the creature, but will have consequences to the vessel and by conjunction the crew. Let the crew deal with a BUM RUSHING armorfiend, and the acid attacks to the vessel.

Many wondered why Lord Mada would bother involving himself in the olgog civil war, but his reasons were his own and he intended to keep it that way. Arriving near Mt. Rhug, which would soon become the site of a massive battle, the red-cloaked Uth waited for Auf Lalder’s signal to attack. In the meantime, he used his leyas sight to view the mountain and try to get an idea of enemy locations.

Upon receiving the signal, he would release his minions. Two of Lord Mada’s nightmare penguins would begin their assault on the Balgog’s front line, concentrating their fire to maximize damage. They have been ordered to clear the entrance to the tunnels by destroying the balgogs. They will ignore the pit mongrels unless attacked by them first.

Two more penguins will be stationed on a Lur Union fighter, providing magi cannon support from the air, targeting the flying imps. And one more penguin will be watching Lalder and targeting any potential threats.

Once the entrance is clear, Lord Mada will send his Falsewyrm through the tunnels at high speed using its chill breath on enemies and dropping stone pellets throughout the tunnels that would summon many nightmares (least and fleshworm) to continue attacking. If the falsewyrm is shot down, Mada will retrieve its nightmare collar.

Mada’s I’tashi war dragon (piloted by another penguin), will move to the entrance. If the tunnel is large enough, the dragon will enter alongside the two ground penguins. If not, it will put its head inside and it, and the two penguins, will open fire with a continuous stream of magi cannon fire into the tunnel, attempting to blast a hole straight through the labyrinth to the heart of the caves. Or at least a good distance into it.

As the tunnels open up, Mada will progress into the mountain firing his Magi pistol (set to chill dmg) at any enemies and shadow walking to avoid pitfalls. When coming across balgogs, he will insect leap onto the back of the nearest one and rapidly fire his magi pistol into the creature while using a vorpral clawed hand to hold on, relying on his artificed robes and armor to protect him from the fire. If/when a balgog goes down, he will jump to the next one and continue. If he gets cornered, he will activate the artificing on his armor to become a shadow to slip away and continue his attack from a different point.

When Lalder makes a move for Kolgol, the penguin watching him will squawk over his comm crystal to his master. Then Lord Mada will shadow walk to a good vantage point, using leyas sight to track the two. When Kolgol tried to flee through the energy bridge, mada will grow vines to temporarily ensnare his legs and then put up a wall of shadow between the possessed olgog and the energy bridge. Then he will shape the wall to encircle Kolgol and Lalder to prevent escape and interference with Lalder’s plan. At the same time, the war dragon and nightmare minions will shift their assault to the balgogs nearest to the newly created shadow arena to keep them from aiding their master. Mada will only release the wall of shadows upon being contacted by Lalder to do so.

Once the battle ends or dies down, Lord Mada will instruct his minions to return and will attempt to get a sample of Kolgol’s blood if possible.

(OOC: Lord Mada will be using his nightmare-summoning pellets as distractions and cannon fodder.
The Vorpral Claw will be used to hold onto the balgog and to lower its V.A.R. slightly.

Urog arrived back to Brez after interrogating Pluto. He took a moment, sat alone in his quarters, and cried. So much war, so much death. For what? Stupid dreams of glory. Kolgol, the fool, wanted to unite the olgog against the Earthers and conquer all. Mag Aug Yyanyi was right, death brings more death, and without freedom. Kolgol’s failure wasn’t in trying to bring the olgog together, it was trying to do so against an enemy. You have to unite the olgog for something, not against it. Kalak was willing to sacrifice others for power. So many already dead and so many more to die.

For what?

Ego, pride, vengeance?

Simonsburg was calling for it. His gangmembers were calling for it. The Great Northern Army was too. If Gul’al were anywhere to be found, what would she say? She left him her armies. What of them? They couldn’t stop the Ka Rhug in Simonsburg. What were they going to do now? Lalder was right on one thing. The demonic balgog had to be destroyed.

Urog took a walk to the museum that he helped build. He stared at the heirloom of the olgog that Tusk and Hikiti put together. He and Kolgol weren’t so different in heart. But olgog aren’t made of heart, they’re made of actions. The Mag Buskt was willing to sacrifice Bill to gather an army to destroy the Mag Mag Gor. Was Bill worth it? They saved his life and the GulTor’Uf were scattered anyway. He sighed. Each olgog has the right to choose. Kalak had no right to subjugate others to his will. The Ka Rhug wanted to subjugate the United Tribes to their will… because bringing the other tribes to his perspective was “too slow.”

No more subjugation. Being Brezan, Urog understood this type of power. Break a gog to your will, and you are leader. Mag Aug Yyanyi taught him another way, and it brought him thousands upon thousands of gog to his will. Show gog freedom, fulfill their needs, and they will lift you above all others. Show them victory, not fear. Show them love and be exalted. These were the lessons he learned. Faith in brotherhood, not some god that makes you promises of power.

He walked to his olgog, waiting for his decision regarding the treachery of the Ka Rhug.

“My kin - we have been betrayed. The Ka Rhug believed themselves to be better than us. We were too slow to achieve his goals of freedom. He was willing to sacrifice our freedom to lead us to glory. But they were wrong. We live in glory every day. We have taken back our city from the filth that it was. We have tla. We have maklal. We don’t need to fear the Der’na. We, together, are greater than we have been in centuries. One day, we will unite in Brez, not because someone conquered us and not because we conquered, but because we believe in each other. Because olgog are not worth sacrificing. We have been working together, and we are better for it. We are better than false gods that offer hopes of momentary power at the cost of life and at the cost of our souls. We will not be victims of fear, or of power. We have each other, and together we are the GREAT NORTHERN ARMY!”

He let his gang members cheer, knowing most of them were just waiting for that moment anyway. Habits die slowly. But one day, they would get there.

“So today, we set off, not because we want vengeance. But because we will not be conquered. We will not let a single god of a small tribe subjugate us all to his will. The United Tribes of Der’al gather, and stand with us, because we will not let demons conquer us. Your souls are yours, brothers and sisters. And we will fight to keep them that way!”

Shirley had the respect of the UTD forces. She would take 3 censor-craft. Each had 25 Ur Rhug, 20 vandals and 2 elders (except her craft, which has her and another elder). And the messenger of Alya. 150 gog, 20 artifacts of summon earth elemental (summoning ability, not Earth one), 20 artifacts of summon sword fiend, 40 summon Hydras, 40 summon chimeras, 20 artifacts of change earth.

Strategy - send the messenger to the Ka Rhug. Message: “Kolgol, your faith in your god may have given you og, but lead to your betrayal at Simongsburg. The demons that plague your faith are a danger to us all. We will spare the lives of the Ka Rhug if you sacrifice your demons and submit yourself to our judgment. The choice is yours. You have gor on all sides. No need for your tribe to suffer the fate of the GulTor’Uf.”

If Kolgol submits himself to Shirley, she will use a binding needle to trap him in place. An Ur Rhug with Hoblal’or will carve the piece of ground he is bound to and take him to Simonsburg. Otherwise, as per lalder, the Ka Rhug will be left to the fate that the gor they have earned have set.

Await lalder’s signal. If the Ka’Gorna that threaten the volcano appear to infiltrate too much, Shirley will unleash the earth elementals (20) and sword fiends (20) to bring down the volcano. The rest of the armaments are for defense. They will avoid direct conflict with the balgog. Otherwise, swordfiends and elementals will use change earth to destroy the balgog, along with the 20 artifacts of change earth (if weak against tunnel material, use that instead). If the Redfurs attack, flee while unleashing chimera and hydras. Use hydras to distract while the chimeras do their damage. Same with all other attacks. Stay in the air - let the summoned creatures do the direct attacking when possible. Follow lalder’s instructions when plausible and not about a direct frontal attack. Focus on bringing the volcano down and staying as far away as possible.

Ur Rhug (total 75)
30 - LR4 and having 6 users of each elemental in addition to shadow (light, fire, water, earth and air)
45 - LR4 but only have shadow

Vandals are standard, 60 total

5 elders (goblin kingz NPC) plus Shirley (Adept, LR5, Fire 3, SS 3, Air 3, Earth 3, gen lvl 2, light 3, Temper 5), khazga wrappings, chill shield artifact, armorfiend vest, hobtor hand axe, Feather of Kul Gul Rapi (Animal Smell/Hearing, Catlike Reflexes, Animal Sight (3)).

Ur Rhug wear nightmare hide. Vandals are standard armor.

Torlok’ab didn’t want to start a conflict with Tla’Loc’al, so he would not be sending forces to engage the minions of the demon at mt rhug. he would send a Scarab with 20 troopers to aid in the pacification of the Minions’ base in the contested lands of Karov. He, himself, would travel to Mt Rhug and aid in fighting the demon’s forces there.

( OOC Sorry to close this 30 minutes early, but its 4th of July and I have hungry kids begging for food.)

With this coming set of battles,Lalder knew the balgogs needed to be destroyed and prevented from coming backy. Lalder had a few goals here. Destroy Balgogs, eliminate ability to produce them, Destroy Kalok.

Camp Cleansing Fire:
Lalder knew camp cleansing fire had to be eliminated. He suspected many bad things happened there, but he could not prove any. Lalder ordered 2 of his 10 Lur Union Fighters that were patrolling the camp area to carry 2 summoners

Rhugal (LR:5, Light: 3, Shadow:3, Air:2, Earth:2, Fire:2, Water:2, General:2, Summ:3) Adj: (Curse Investigator, Leyas Mapping +3, Profession (Cursebreaker) 3)
Kugon (LR:4, Light: 3, Shadow:3, Air:2, Earth:1, Fire:1, Water:1, General:1, Summ:3) Adj: ( Leyas combat Ranged 5)

Summoners are to Discretely Summon Earth elementals to create underground tunnels that allow flamewinds to travel down into the camp fortress, hopefully destroying it. The tunnels would end inches from the interior walls of the camp where the flamewinds would easily break through but not allow those inside to notice the structure issue.

The Lur Union Fighters would relay enemy positions to allies.

Mt Rhug (No one attacks or lands until Krodnok surprise, then Lalder gives the go):
Vehicles:Carrier (nearby),Destroyer,30 Lur Union Fighers. One Lur Union fighter will be fitted with the Nightmare Chill Breath Gland Cannon (20 Chill dmg,Roomsweeper (+7 Dodge T#)). ANd Steam Levi-Tank

Rhug’na’ru
As I’ve stated, The Carrier is near orbit, just below where the Iron republic allows it. The Lur Union Fighters launch from there. If any Lur Union fighters take fire, the destroyer and them will wipe out the enemy air force before attacking balgogs. All 25 not guarding the Carrier. Lalder will use Reverse Metal.

Other Betrayals
Lalder has tried to work with all groups. Lalder will show no mercy for any others who betray the UtR or him again. First Guluf’tor, now Kolgol. Lalder has Earth Leyas 6. Time to prove a point.\

Steam Levi Tank
Lalder always had new toys and new surprises. This one was a surprise to himself. The hover tank would be either Teleported or air dropped into range where it could bring heavy firepower to Kolgol, Balgogs, or any other big bads. Also this could be a door opener.

Kalok
As Lalder is getting ready to confront Kolgol, he will relay a message to Lord Mada so he can join and help.

If Lalder see’s Kolgol and not attacked,he will say “Your quest for power has ruined so much of what we worked for. Your betrayal brought this upon you. I hope your soul agonizes over the horrible choices you have made in this life. “ Then one of the options.

If Kolgol starts to run away, Lalder will say “Are you such a coward that after starting all this you’ll flee and not take responsibility for your actions.”

Option 1:Banish Kalok - While the rest of the team protects them, the Aufs will:

[ul]
Lalder and Lalog’na will attempt to Banish Kalok
[LIST]

Urik
The Lur Union Fighters would drop off Urik’s forces where they need to be, and respond to pickups. Relaying positions of enemies. Also Lalder would give Urik half of the nanite syringes and keep the other half incase Urik’s forces had theirs broken. This will allow Lalders Aufs to heal Uriks forces if need be.

Yagogi’al the Og’ab
Will work with their forces to transport and drop a Chill bomb on the volcano/Citidel. (Should be working to avoid our troops. See Yagogi’al’s Post for details.

Not recruiting from displaced as they are not trustworthy as they would be Ka Rhug Tribe. Don’t trust them.

Aftermath
Lalder would try to work through the Army of the True flame to get the PIt Mongrels to leave after Kalok defeated. Follow with Warning for those that don’t leave.

The Pit Mongrels do not leave will be push them out. Call in Krodnok.

(Next post will have eq and Some Character stats.)
